Adult Cardiac Masterclass: Case Based Discussions: Aortic Root Challenges | Recorded at the AATS 106th Annual Meeting

Recorded at the AATS 106th Annual Meeting, this masterclass examines contemporary approaches to aortic root surgery, from valve repair and replacement strategies to the management of complex aneurysmal disease. Through expert presentations and case-based discussions, faculty explore evolving techniques in Ross procedure selection, mechanical and biological valve alternatives, the Ozaki procedure, aortic valve repair in tricuspid and bicuspid anatomies, and surgical management of acute aortic valve endocarditis. Gain practical insights into patient selection, operative decision-making, and evidence-based management of challenging aortic root pathology.

This session includes the following presentations:

  • Young Patient with Bi/uni-Cuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis with Dilated Anulus +/- Aneurysm - Ross vs AVR (Mechanical, Biological, Ozaki)
  • Late Valve Dysfunction Post Ross - Different Scenarios
  • Aortic Valve Repair With or Without Aneurysm, Tricuspid, Bicuspid
  • Managing the Root in Acute Aortic Valve Endocarditis
